Camberwell Place Food Court Upgrades

To assist ISPT in their re-development of ‘The Well’ Shopping Centre into Camberwell Place, Craig Tan Architects were invited to conduct a design peer review of the work by Red Design.

Introduced to the project at a very late construction issue stage, Craig Tan Architects, provided design recommendations for the design to engender a sense of intimacy, and tactility into the Food Court and supermarket levels.  This design advice was incorporated into Red Design’s construction documentation.

The final scope included feature ceiling and wall acoustic features, a enhanced entry shroud to the escalators, floor and wall tile selection, furniture and upholstery, balustrades and upstand walls, feature ceiling treatment to existing tree artwork. Since opening, the space has been well received, and has imbued the space with a warmth and intimacy that was lacking in the previous designs.
