Tune Tower Hotel Activation

In 2016, Tune Hotels, a global budget hotel chain with close affiliations to Air Asia, approached CTA to look at an elevation of their brand into a middle and upper tier boutique hotel offering.

Earmarked as a new flagship launch of their 2 new brands, the site at 540 Flinders Street will accommodate approximately 25,000sqm of GFA, including a 320-room middle tier hotel, a 150-room upper level boutique hotel, and 100 serviced apartments.

Craig Tan Architects were engaged to design the 3-storey podium, sky deck and public realm lane, in collaboration with Elenberg Fraser Architects, who will deliver the 2 hotel towers above.

The podium consists of a mix of retail and hospitality to activate the public realm lane bisecting the site, and a shared hotel communal level on levels 1 and 2.

This project was submitted for town planning and was put on hold due to covid.
