Bradmill Social Residents Spaces

The old Bradmill Cotton Mills in Yarraville have a profound legacy of industry and as a successful migrant story that resonates within the Inner West. Frasers Property Australia recognised the importance of transforming the heritage precinct to anchor their new residents into the local community and create a circular economy. As experts in adaptive re-use CTA were engaged to socially activate the existing Boiler House and Proofing Building, and to weave them back into the local context.

The Proofing Building will house a wellness centre which heroes the existing industrial features and embraces the buildings more recent past, retaining part of the building’s street art. The iconic Boiler House’s residence facilities will celebrate the vast height of the building, with insulated pods inserted under the old coal chutes.

Unique amongst comparable residential developments, the Bradmill Social Resident Spaces will re-energise these buildings for the community and champion the iconic industrial legacy of the site.
