Atlassian Melbourne Connection Hub

CTA have been at the forefront of redefining what office spaces can be in a hybrid work environment. We recently collaborated with Atlassian on their Melbourne Connection Hub – an innovative and experimental project looking at new ways to foster connections and a sense of belonging to company. CTA provided architectural and interior design services to Atlassian for their 762sqm Melbourne Connection Hub, a first-time pilot for the company and a trailblazing pioneer for the whole industry.

Seeking to redefine the traditional office work environment, Atlassian engaged CTA for our diverse expertise and creativity in commercial, retail, and hospitality to evoke the social alchemy that they were looking for.

Focusing on connection, the space features more social spaces than desks, recognising the importance of face-to-face connection for Atlassian’s company strategy.

For Atlassian, it was critical that the project embraced a circular economy approach, with more than 50% of the furniture and fittings being sourced via second-hand opportunities.

The project went live in March 2024, and has been a resounding success. It was recently launched in The Sydney Morning Herald, and Australian Financial Review in early July 2024, and according to Atlassian’s research on the space, it is performing well.
