Grainger Gallery at Dairy Road

The Grainger Gallery establishes a new for hub for artists in the ACT and showcases an impressive array of talent from local to international recognition. With a goal to nurture emergent artists, 230sqm of gallery includes an upstairs mezzanine used to host life drawing sessions and community workshops. A downstairs framing studio also adapts as additional gallery space.

This inclusive art-space is woven into the Dairy Road precinct fabric, a creative bridge mediating between the internal communal square and the landscape.

A restrained monotonic palette works to enhance the tactile expression of the structures that make up the floor and ceiling – a connection to the industrial legacy of the Dairy Road precinct.
